It is rewarding to keep in contact with our Scholars after college graduation to learn what career that education has enabled them to pursue.
Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Researchers.
On Tuesday, September 30th, four graduates of the University of Missouri - Columbia, and 2003 graduates of Parkway South High School presented a delightful program for members of the College Club of St. Louis entitled, "How My College Club Scholarship Enabled Me to Fulfill My Ambition". Mackenzie Lucas, Katherine Quillo, Jill Scott, and Jessica Volk were four of the twenty recipients of the College Club's Scholarship Awards Program in 2003. They told of their college experiences and their plans for the future. All four young women are presently working in their field of study in the St. Louis area..

Dear College Club of St. Louis
Four years ago, your foundation believed in me and gifted me a scholarship to attend the University of Kansas to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Now that these last 4 years have come to an end, I want to thank you again for supporting me during this journey. The past 4 years have been the time of my life and I have made so many incredible memories, such as being able to host a STEM Conference for high school and middle school girls to introduce them to the fields of engineering and computer science. I have completed a Senior Capstone where I coded a robot arm and designed and built the housing system to be used in an industrial engineering line. In addition I celebrated KU's National Championship in basketball with the friends I have made at KU. Now that I have graduated, I will be pursuing a career as a Project Manager at J.E. Dunn and moving to Omaha, Nebraska.
Thank You!
Lori Eckhardt
